8:15 a.m. General Session

An Evening with Aldo Leopold “The Nature Guys”
An inspirational program on American conservationist, Aldo Leopold. His life will be portrayed from his early beginnings as a Yale forestry graduate, his time as a forester in New Mexico, and then his investigative fieldwork as an employee with Sports Ammunition and Manufacturing Institute (SAMI), to his appointment as head of the country’s first department of game management at the University of WI in the 1930s. Leopold’s skill as a field scientist and his poetic writing talents combine in his most famous work, A Sand County Almanac.
