Pokagon State Park, Potawatomi Inn Angola, Indiana
What is the GLPTI Certificate Program?
The Great Lakes Park Training Institute certificate program is a new program highly focused within the Institute. The certificate program was created to give personalized training in specialized topical areas. The certificate programs are four different topical areas (offered in rotating years) uniquely designed to give students the proper strategies and techniques needed to improve their work performance and to reach their career goals. The instructor-led program will be delivered in conjunction with the Great Lakes Park Training Institute.
What Certificate Programs are offered by the GLPTI?
There will be four specialized topical areas offered in sequential rotating years. The first certificate program to be offered by the Great Lakes Park Training Institute will be the Executive Leadership for Women in Parks and Recreation program. The announcement and release of each preceding certificate program will be done at the Friday’s General Session at the Institute.
Continuing Education Units (CEU)
CEU are an internationally recognized measure of training and education excellence. CEU are often required to demonstrate the highest quality of a training program, and for individuals maintaining a professional certification, like the Certified Park and Recreation Professional. A total of 2.2 Indiana University CEU credits are available for the certificate program.
