What is the GLPTI Certificate Program?

The Great Lakes Park Training Institute Certificate Program is a young program highly focused within the Institute. It was created to give personalized training in specialized topical areas. The Certificate Programs are four different topical areas (offered in rotating years) uniquely designed to give students the proper strategies and techniques needed to improve their work performance and to reach their career goals. The instructor-led program will be delivered in conjunction with the Great Lakes Park Training Institute.

What Certificate Program will be offered in 2010?

The 2010 Certificate Program is the much anticipated “Executive Leadership for Women in Parks and Recreation.” A few years ago, the initial run of this topic was met with huge enthusiasm and many participants in GLPTI have been anxious for its return.

Continuing Education Units (CEU)

CEUs are an internationally recognized measure of training and education excellence. CEUs are often required to demonstrate the highest quality of a training program, and for individuals maintaining a professional certification, like the Certified Park and Recreation Professional. A total of 2.2 Indiana University CEU credits are available for the certificate program.
